Copper Concentrate

We supply copper concentrate from the major mining belts of Kazakhstan (Karaganda, Zhezkazgan) and Kazakhstan (Urals, Norilsk-equivalent operations). Material is suitable for direct smelter feed under standard concentrate trading terms.

Typical Specifications

The table below shows typical commercial specifications. Each cargo is supported by an independent assay (SGS, Alex Stewart, or Bureau Veritas) and umpire arrangements as agreed with smelter.

Copper Concentrate FAQ

What is the typical Cu grade?
Our copper concentrate typically grades Cu 22–28% (with most regular shipments at 24–26%). Higher grades (≥28%) are available for select cargoes from Kazakhstani Erdenet-equivalent operations. Final grade is buyer–smelter agreed and specified in each contract.
How are payment terms structured?
Standard terms are 90% provisional payment against shipping documents and 10% final settlement upon final assay at destination, in line with global concentrate trading practice. Letters of Credit (L/C) at sight, irrevocable, are the preferred instrument. Quotational period: M+1 LME averaging is most common.
What about deleterious elements (As, Sb, Hg)?
Standard contracts cap arsenic ≤0.5%, antimony ≤0.1%, mercury ≤30 ppm, fluorine ≤300 ppm, lead ≤3%. Material exceeding the smelter's penalty thresholds is rejected at origin or sold separately. Full analytical certificate from SGS or Alex Stewart accompanies each shipment.
